I've been up for a few hours (10:30ish)... i'm really achy and weary, but i want to get out of the house.

doing a lot of walking isn't an option, as i have a blister that is trying to get infected (i punctured it, drained it, cut away the dead tissue so that it couldn't fill up with more ugly yellow puss, but it still hurts) and another that's difficult to heal (between toes that like to overlap)...

i have strawberries, half and half, and flour. maybe i should make shortcake and invite friends over. or take the shortcakes and go elsewhere, as we haven't finished putting the house to rights just yet. of course, making shortcake involves working in the kitchen. *sigh*

i did manage to shower. that was badly needed.

i need to put lotion on. boy appears to be done with his qi gong, so maybe he'll help.

Suggestions for dealing with blisters:
Since you've already drained it and cut off the dead tissue, try putting a thin pad of gauze over it and wrap it up in electrical tape. That will make wearing shoes and walking easier. Just make sure that you don't leave it on for too long (so that you don't trap too much moisture and breed bacteria) and apply rubbing alcohol (or peroxide) after you take it off, in order to kill bacteria and dry it out. Or, in a worst-case scenario, add Orajel before taping it. No, that won't help at all, but it will help take some of the pain away so that you just don't *notice* that you're tearing it up even more! ;-D Well, ok, you're probably better off with just sticking to the first part...
