it amuses me that two other people have listed the interest soy is evil in the last week or so. i know that there were only two of us yesterday, today there are three. and sometime last week, I was still the sole interested party.

edit:

it's not so cool. the other two journals seem to belong to the same person. le sigh.

Hey, I always say, "le sigh"! You're the third person I've seen write it out in a journal entry! Argh!

I've used it for a long time, but very rarely. ;) And I'm not sure I've ever used it in a journal entry.

Mine is "*le pout, le sigh*" . . . as well as the occasional "*le mew, le purrrrr*" :D

Out of curiousity, why is soy evil? And is it any worse than Mung beans?

Soy is evil because it wants to kill me. Mung beans have, thus far, shown no interest in ending my life, so they are not evil.

Or ... Kikkoman??

anaphlactic (potentially fatal) allergy, actually. ;)

so long as KikkoMan stays in Flash, I'm safe.

What kind of reactions do you get from soy? Is it one of the hive-inducing agents? I can't recall.

I used to get stomach issues if I had too much soy, but now I think it's giving me migraines even in smaller doses. You know so much about these kinds of things: can soy cause migraines?

hives and dermatitis are my mildest reactions to things like soylecithin, soy derived/carried vitamin e, soy oil, etc. soy sauce, edamame, tofu, tempeh, etc, all do things like make my throat tighten, cover my body in hives, and generally point me toward anaphylactic shock.

Anything can be a personal trigger for migraines.
