The electrician isn't coming today. He had a water heater emergency arise.

You know, I realize that people need hot water.

But there are a LOTS of electricians in town. They can't ALL be booked with full day jobs, like mine was.

Of course, the reason he's cancelling is because he *knows* he'll get paid for the re-wire job here. So he's getting the emergency job (probably with emergency rates) AND sometime next week, he'll get our day's work.

Dammit, this means I'll have to get up early ANOTHER day. I know I didn't go to sleep last night, but that's a typical situation when I have to be up early. It's easier to not sleep than to sleep an insufficient amount. Furthermore, boy already notified his workplace and said he'd be offline today. It's not a problem for him to show up online, but to have to do this *again* at short notice next week isn't terribly professional and it's *not* his fault. I know his boss understands, but it's aggravating.

I'm glad someone with an emergency got help, but I'd consider this a good time to use another electrician instead.

It's not our choice. The landlord is the one paying for the job and he uses his buddies.

I know that feeling. My landlady always hires all these specific people for things and it ends up being a hassle for us.

One day, I vow not to be under the control of a landlord from hell.
