[livejournal.com profile] explodingcat is crouching at the front door, chittering and "rau maumaumau"ing at his favorite pet opossum.

I can yell, bark, meow, and dance at it. It doesn't go away. It did lose its balance and fall off the porch once.

i've got a headache. bleah

I like possums. :P

Eagle Creek Park had one that had been injured as a baby while riding it's mother across the rode, she was paralyzed. She became a teacher, going to schools with handlers where they would talk about various animals and show her off. I got to hold her, some sicko named her "vegetable" which I thought was hysterical.

Tell exploding cat I said to tell the possum "cckckckkcckrrrrrhcckckck!" or something like that.

My only experience with opossums (besides running one over once) is that their poop is really, really stinky. I work at a school that has a veterinary technician program, and one day we had an open house and invited someone who works with exotic animals in. He brought in an opossum, and boy howdy...I'll leave the rest of the story to your imagination.

Oh yeah...and I do remember learning somewhere that "possum" means "I can" in Latin. So that's what I shouted when I ran the opossum down in my car.
