Today, I drove into town to put the utilities (gas/water/sewer) in our name. That was relatively easy and painless, though I had to call
xiane and ask her where the hell city hall was. I ran into Stu, too, so that was nice. :)
Then I went home to pick up Tom, because it was too late for me to unload the car by myself, go get him, and come back into town to flyer with
xiane. la la la.
I've got to pack some more stuff.
Oh, and I need to remember to call the garage (or maybe
explodingcat can call Finley's when he reads this) and ask if they can take a look at the car. It's making a weird noise when the AC (yes, it was WARM today) or vent is on. *sigh* The damn compressor, valve, belt, etc, were all replaced last July, so if that's a problem, it should be under warranty... the problem is, I had that done in NJ and my mother-in-law paid for it. I hope she has the receipts still.
Of course, as I was driving home (with the windows open), I thought to myself , "car's broken, which means boy will probably get a bonus."
I was right. I hope the repairs don't cost too much. *sigh* It would be nice to actually enjoy the bonus money, rather than apply it to bills that need addressing right away (usually the car or eyeglasses or something else). We seem to be lucky and fall into these when we most need them, but damn it...
