Why is this an oddly enough story? I understand it was her first reaction, but allergies can be like that. People die from being kissed by someone EVERY year.

Food allergies are *very* serious. boy wouldn't dream of consuming tofu or edamame anywhere around me because of this. He doesn't want me to die. I'm grateful for that, because I know just how much he loves soy stuff. ;)

the woman had a sever reaction

Worse yet, she had the rare type of allergic reaction wherein her head fell off.

When the weather clears, you guys will have to come over. I promise that this time I won't forget and put soy cheese in the one vegetarian dish.

Definateley a strange storie. I'm glad I don't have any food allergies. And no serious allergies at all.

*shudders* Food allergies are so icky...

Have you heard the theory that some allergies might come about because kiddies don't have enough exposure to actual germs and allergens growing up? (The "body looks for something to fight" theory.) It's rather far-fetched, but I think I'll make my brother go eat some dirt for fun... ;p

oh, i ate LOTS of mud and dirt as a kid. i didn't live in a "CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN" household. I mean, it was clean, but we didn't Lysol everything.

I think a certain vaccine and genetics are to blame for my health problems.

I'm guessing she hadn't known she was allergic to shellfish since she worked in a seafood restraunt?

It reminds me of a guy I once dated who was allergic to all kinds of fish. He use to go hunting/fishing all the time, and go out of his way not to actually ever touch the fish. I always wondered if someone had dropped him when he was quite small.

What'd we do?

And I'm still not entirely sure what the story's about, since the page won't load for me.

Oh great...

My boyfriend is quite allergic to mushrooms, but I'm always eating them around him. And lately, I've been trying to coerce him into cooking them for me. Perhaps I should rethink that one, huh?

I have absolutely nothing intelligent to add to this, but it made me laugh out loud and I thought you should know.
