going back to jersey
Dec. 1st, 2001 04:53 pma friend of mine was once in a punk band and they had a song of that name...
yep, back in jersey.
went shopping with mum-in-law today... dragged boy along. we each got a winter coat (big sales). mine is wool and buttons down... no hood, but i always have a scarf, shawl, platok, babushka, etc. and boy has a nice long leather coat now. great for standing out in the cold waiting for the bus.
we desperately needed winter coats. well, not *too* desperately. i wasn't willing to get one that was the wrong color, texture, shape, size, or too ratty at goodwill. but neither of us really had a suitable coat anymore.
now we do. and we can pay mom back in pieces. well, big pieces. probably one now and one in two weeks.
happy happy. must get off this infernally slow line now.
:)

Date: 2001-12-02 08:27 am (UTC)I'm also jealous -- Wendy lined a leather thift-store coat with leopard fur (fake, obviously) and it looks better than new . . .
I'm suffering from apartment envy, anyway . . . her place was so damn *clean* and decorated *beautifully* . . .
My new phrase is, "I don't nest, I den" . . .
