couch day

it was a long weekend... i'll probably have the energy to write more later... maybe after i download my mail... forgot to go nomail from my recipe lists and the tom robbins group... eeeeek. 1200+ emails...

today is a couch day. i sit here, frown at the mess around me, and think about what i'll do when i have the energy to clean later this week.

had a nice 11-hour sleep. :) helped make up for the hideous rain-pounding drive home last night.

ah. this particular list is Fierce-Invalids at yahoogroups. it's a group of people (plus or less many others) i met in the old aftrlife (alt.fan.tom-robbins, which was gatewayed from magic-l@listserv.american.edu)... there might be more history than that, but i was a student at AU when i found them. i've stayed with them through various iterations and rewrites and schisms and such. there were other similar groups with some of the same people, but this is the one i like. it is a HUGE mailbox-filling experience and is not limited to discussions of Tom Robbins. in fact, while some discussions tangentially dip in and touch upon his work, most are in his spirit, not his substance. when he publishes something new, however, tons of stuff flies into one's box. perhaps less than usual, as folks spend more free time reading. ;)

the aftrlife and thecave are two other robbins yahoogroups which are a bit more focused. i'm very fond of fierce-invalids which, i think, currently refers to itself as the wurl.
