in fact, if i turn my head, i can see the large version of the pic, hanging on my grandmother's wall.
i'm about 14 months old. jude was a scottie/poodle mutt dad gave mom for their first anniversary. she would be a little over 5 in this pic. she was the most cantankerous old dog i ever knew... well, until mom got her current dog--a full-blood scottie.
obviously, jude wasn't all bad, as she's sitting on top of mom's sewing machine cabinet with me, looking out the window for roy or ressie--the old folks who lived across the street in both directions (different houses). i loved roy and ressie. :) ressie passed on years ago. jude died about 15 years ago. and roy passed away a couple years ago. he was a WWI vet.
anyhow, charlie was absinthea's dog... well, her mother's. she's grown and has a family of her own, but she misses him, too.
