Dec. 4th, 2002 12:44 amcomplaints about planned parenthood's holiday cards
okay... now, these aren't cards being sent by PP to folks who are anti-choice. these are cards (and t-shirts available for purchase. so, these folks who are anti-choice are complaining about the cards twisting a phrase celebrating the birth of Jesus to fit a pro-choice message.
i don't suppose it EVER OCCURED to these ultra-judgmental "christians" that THEIR holiday is subverting the winter solstice. hmph.

Date: 2002-12-04 09:36 pm (UTC)I've gone so far as taking plain tissue paper and drawing on it to make "Yule" wrapping paper instead of "christmas" paper.
Oh, and in one of the religious reference books that my husband used to own (he was a minister at one time, then he met me, I corrupted him) someone had actually sat down and done the math and figured out that Jesus was probably born in the first week of June. So I go around telling christians "merry christmas" on that week, just for the piss off effect.
I'm in a mood....
