rather than wear my same old favorite crinoline and lacy top to the dawning last night for 80s night, i ransacked my wardrobe.

i remembered wearing oversized shirts and leggings or stirrup pants.

i managed to find an off-white pirate shirt, black velvet leggings, suede granny boots, white slouch socks, a rather boxy brimmed hat, and a nice big hair scarf. oh, and a vest with some nifty brocade on it.

i rolled my hair so i could make it big, but my hair doesn't hold curl. so it was just sorta frizzier than usual (from the Hold-Up gel and Aquanet (yes, i own aquanet)). the front was in two ponytails, each put into six braids. i tied that big ol' scarf around my back ponytail and put on the hat.

so i unwittingly ended up resembling boy george.

it was silly. and fun. :D

and why is it that men always get the stud points? even if *I* should be awarded stud points, they go to boy. WHAT is UP with that? i hate discrimination. i want my stud points, dammit.

had a lovely friday evening/saturday with

nothingoth thanks for putting up with my chatter, chad. i'm used to having a quiet boy in the house, so i will eventually learn to shut up and let someone else talk. ;) please come visit again. i'll make more pie or dumplings or something.

we picked apples with Magi. that was nifty. we have lots of winesaps now, so i should get to baking 'em or making something.

today, i need to go buy rechargeable batteries, a new bathmat, new needle for my turntable, and i can't remember what else.

i'll have pictures later. i don't have time to edit 'em down in photoshop right now.
