Broom + car = piles of snow
Mar. 2nd, 2009 03:38 pmRonan loves snow. We played outside with Jerry this morning. Much happymaking.
I saw that the roads were clear and dry, so I stuck him in the car and went grocery shopping. We were out of necessities (eggs, meat for tom's lunch, stuff like that). I then stopped at TRU to see if kiddo wanted a train for his track. No, he just wanted a bike. All of them. After I pulled him away kicking and screaming, I found shovels on sale! And they were REALLY on sale--42ยข!
So we came back home and Ronan dragged his shovel around back, where the snow is deeper in the shadow of the house, and he proceeded to shovel snow for 15 minutes, at which point I said "My feet and ears are freezing, kiddo, we're going inside."
More kicking and screaming and a diaper change later . . . and he nursed peacefully down for a nap.
YAY! I'm so glad we had some snow. Only 3-5", but still. It's what I need in order to not feel out of sorts when spring and summer come head over heels into our yard. We've only had a bit of a dusting of ice pellets before now. Nothing substantial or fun.
Shame it's all melting, though. On the other hand, I love my self-defrosting sidewalk. Oh, yeah. That's nice.
