Monday morning, wide awake.
Apr. 14th, 2008 08:41 amAfter a good long run of sleeping in til 8:45-9:30, Ronan has chosen to awaken at 7:30 two mornings in a row. The kicker? He's going to bed later. He was rarin' to go until midnight Saturday and 11 last night. *sigh* Sleep begets sleep. We'll try to start bedtime earlier than 9pm today.
I know it's probably just a developmental growth spurt. He's eating and nursing like mad. He wouldn't settle this morning until I sat him down with some rice cakes. He ate quite a bit. I thought about making him a sweet potato, but our last sweet potato is destined for the great compost heap in thesky backyard.
Much straightening up and decluttering has been done. I need to itemize the Goodwill donation pile and contact the craigslist no-shows. I also need to move a storage bench in here (living room) for blanket storage. My parents are just over the mountain. We'll see them this afternoon, no doubt. I can't wait. :)
I dyed some playsilks yesterday. I'll post pics when they're completely dry. I want to dye more today, but I'm out of vinegar. That means I can't really do laundry, either, so I need to head out and buy some more.
Things to do before the party this Saturday:
declutter some more
sweep/vacuum
bathe
jericho_the_dog
mop
sweep deck
sort some more craft supplies
buy food
cook/prepare food
buy Ronan's big gift (M&D piano)
finish Ronan's small gift (sand and paint wooden kleenex box, attach decorations, fill with playsilks)
I know, normally I could do that all in a couple days. Well, pre-baby, anyhow. It's hard when he wants me playing with him or typing near him. I got some work done while he ate his rice cakes, but then he realized I was accomplishing things and thwarted me.
I'm going to take Mr. Fussy in to help wake daddy. I'll take his clothes in while I'm at it. May as well get a jumpstart on the day.
