so tired.

You know, I think I'm completely over the I-95 corridor. It just gets worse and worse every year. We left south Jersey at 3:40 on a Sunday afternoon. It was pouring. Traffic was heavy. Ugh. The line-up at the tolls on the turnpike wasn't so bad, but the traffic was stop and go from the tollbooth all the way across the freakin' Delaware Memorial Bridge. And then the traffic backup remained on the *other* side of that tollbooth, so I told boy to take 40. I just can't stand sitting in rainy, exhaust-filled traffic.

I finally realized that it's probably a move-in weekend for many schools + one last hurrah of the summer. Oy. Traffic was heavy until about 9:30 on US 29. We just got the car unloaded.

From now on, we leave NJ after we eat supper. None of this afternoon/early evening craparoo. When we lived in DC, we often didn't leave for Philly until after 8pm. It was smooth sailing at night. I think we'll keep this in mind.

In other news, Ronan still dislikes his carseat. He really HATES falling asleep in it and complains most piteously. And once he does fall asleep (against his will), God forbid any street lights shine in his face.

I've been summoned for jury duty. 3:30pm tomorrow. I hope Ronan likes the judicial system.
