We really should've opened and inspected the Leksvik bed frame package before emptying out the bedroom and disassembling our bed.

One of the major pieces is cracked along a flaw in the wood at one of the drill set points.

It a piece which will fit in my car and they've replaced flawed pieces before (without requiring me to bring the entire set back), but this is majorly annoying. It's a two-hour drive one-way. (And no, they don't ship replacements.) And since we're due for major weather this week, this means that I have to go TOMORROW, on my birthday, to deal with customer service. Poop on them.

I think tonight will be an air mattress night. I don't feel like reassembling the old rails and everything that goes on the mattress (covers, pillowtop, bedding) just for a night.

I guess I may as well inspect all the other pieces now. *sigh*

ETA: I called and they *are* able to ship this particular part, but it would take 7-10 business days. Add in a weekend and the snow and it's just not worth waiting. I guess i know what I'm doing tomorrow. I can't wait--we've got bedroom stuff in the office/nursery and front room and middle room. We plan to paint the office/nursery next weekend, so I *need* my bedroom put back together.

I should also add that this is the footboard and one of the primary pieces the frame builds from. So I can't really do a lot else until I get this part. I mean, I could put put in their wacky bolts, but that's about it.
