(no subject)
May. 27th, 2006 05:44 pmSo, no hiking today. We slept in and then headed down to the city market, where I proceeded to load boy down with greens. He keeps mumbling about pot liquor, so I assume he wants me to go buy him some bacon.
We made freezer jam. It's sitting overnight. I'll look for freezer space later, but I know I've enough.
There's a (GF) lemon poppyseed almond poundcake in the oven. I was a couple tablespoons short of almond meal, so I tossed in some garfava. I hope it doesn't turn out horrid. I hate bean flours, but they were close at hand and the sorghum was on the other side of the kitchen. The cake is primarily for boy and he's not averse to bean flours.
Tom's doing dishes. I'm tired from all the running around and kitchen-work. We might go downtown for a movie later, we might not. As tired as I am, I might just shovel a cubic foot or two of mulch into the bed, then shower and sleep. If
nannar still wants to go to Lowe's, I'll hold off on the shower until after we visit. Or maybe I'll save the mulch for Monday. I have no idea.
My old reaction to valerian has returned. Instead of knocking me out in short order, it leaves me in severe muscle and joint pain for a couple hours, at which point I do fall asleep, but at the cost of whatever remaining sanity I might have left. And as bad as I hurt on a daily basis--it can always get worse.
Jericho feels like crushed velvet. He looks it, too. So soft and smooth.
