same old same old, move along.
Jan. 17th, 2006 04:44 pmI overextended myself yesterday. I don't mind so much--it just means I'll be on couch patrol for the next couple of days.
Jericho is absolutely adorable. He has a little plushy ball with a giraffe print. We call it his giraffe nugget. He adores this ball. If we're in another part of the house and tell him to go find his ball, he runs out and hunts all over for it, eventually returning with it. He'll play with it all on his own--batting it around the house and jumping on it. Sometimes, he's really kitten-like. It's hard to believe he's a middle-aged dog--six and a half years old!
I was assembling the first Leksvik shelving unit on Sunday when we discovered that *one* of the shelves is 1cm shorter than all the others. We're going to open up the other packs to see if any others are wacko before I call Ikea and ask what they can do for me. I'd prefer they just ship me a replacement part, but if I have to return the shelf part in person, I'll do that. I better not need to return the WHOLE thing, as this unit will not fit in my car. We'll see. I'm told Ikea's really good about this stuff.
Now that I'm no longer suffering the plague (just the never ending cough), I need to start straightening up around here again. I could really make some headway if, I don't know, I had some energy and a distinct lack of pain. I'll just have to settle for very little headway. Tiny improvements are still improvements.
My electric screwdriver appears to be broken. It's possible the battery is b0rked, but I think it's the screwdriver. I can use my drill when assembling ikea stuff, but my screwdriver is nice and lightweight. It was a gift, so I don't have any sort of receipt or store warranty for it. I wonder if Black and Decker screwdrivers have lifetime warranties? Somehow, I doubt it. I should still have the manual filed away--I should look for it.
