Feb. 3rd, 2005

Boy remembered to stop the paper until we get back. We put a hold on the mail. Still need to ask someone to water my plants (only twice). And I realized that I have no good messenger bags at the moment. I'll try Coyote and, failing that, I'll hit some other stores in town.

If I'd thought about this in advance, I'd have managed to get this bag. *sigh*

Need to do laundry. We're both in need of either socks or undies.

So, it's a gorgeous day--it's been snowing, but it's warm (above 30F), so the snow is sticking to the grass, but not to the streets. It's fluffy snow, too, so it's piling up nicely.

I love this time of year. I do have to be careful in February, of course. Since my birthday is this month, I tend to go out around mid-February, which often has disastrous results. There are way too many people who think love needs to be celebrated with roses and perfume, so if I do go out for my birthday, I end up getting sick and the allergy-induced congestion often turns into bronchitis. March tends to suck because of this.

I don't care, though. February generally means snow interspersed with brisk days where the sky is a vibrant blue. The night sky is often a deep navy blue, with brilliantly burning stars. Even the fact that the days are getting longer can't get me too bummed out. The humidity is generally low enough that stargazing is a wonderful way to wile away time.

And some day, I'll kill all those stinky people and revel in the blood-filled gutters. Gory glory will be mine.
