So . . . Wednesday night. Lunar Eclipse.
jb98 and
redzshadow expressed interest in coming. I'd leave right after Tom's class. He gets out of class at 8:15. I'd either stay on-grounds (near-grounds) from 7pm on, or I'd find out where he parked the car, go home, make cocoa, and go pick him up. So, we should iron this out *before* 2pm Wednesday, as I'll be at the corner from 3pm onward.
If you two still want to go, my car is full. If either of you opts out, I have room. My car fits four.
I'll still go if it's partly cloudy. I'm not certain how far we'll go, but it will be in the mountains--BR Pkwy or SNP. I have a pass, so admission isn't an issue. We'll be within 30-45 minutes of C'ville and we won't stay for the entire thing, as boy needs sleep. I'd like to stay through totality, but that might not be realistic, as it ends around 11:45 and he should be in bed close to midnight. If we're near one of the entrances, which is likely, I might be able to cajole him into staying.
Dress warmly! It will be in the low 50s, but we'll be sitting still, quite probably outside. If your head hurts when your neck is tilted, bring a lawn chair. I'm planning on it. ;) I think a lawn chair and a sleeping bag might be in my best interests.
If it's completely clouded over, with no hint of clearing, we probably won't go.
