taco bell happiness
Apr. 1st, 2004 04:25 pmI go to Taco Bell a lot. By a lot, I mean at least once a week.
Considering we only eat out about twice a week (pizza or taco bell), that's significant.
Anyhow, last Saturday, we decided to get TB for supper. I ordered my usual (two crunchy taco supremes with beans instead of meat, a side of guacamole, and a small drink). I always speak slowly and clearly when ordering. When the order came, my tacos weren't supremes. I'm accustomed to this at other TBs, but the one I go to most of the time is usually better. So I carried them up there, the manager took one look at me, and said, "oh, did they forget to make those supreme?" and, without looking at my receipt, she calls out to the line my exact order.
Then I looked at my receipt. The original cashier (a new guy) hadn't entered my order correctly. The manager walked over to say hi and I told her that the receipt hadn't reflected the supreme, so I didn't actually pay for supreme tacos. She smiled and said, "maybe not, but *I* know what you ordered."
That was nice of her. She's the same one who reminded the middle people that corporate has said *no natural rubber latex gloves* so they'd stop sending them to her. She made sure her restaurant only uses vinyl, plastic, or nitrile.
I like her. She's one of the reasons I only go to that TB. The one on 29North always has stale shells. I haven't ventured into the one near Pantops. And the one on 5th Street Extended is a Taco Hut/Pizza Bell and I don't trust them (pizza hut is FULL of soy).
