Boy is going to drive me to the pool after work.

I don't think I can drive today, either, which sucks. I need to mail two packages out--they're well overdue. I also need to go to IY and WalMart and I need to check out one of the furniture stores.

*sigh*

I finished Robert Jordan's latest novel--A New Spring, the first of three WoT prequels. I don't know what to read next. I have Fagles' translation of The Iliad, Heaney's bilingual Beowulf edition, and Mieville's King Rat. Truth be told, I'm not sure my brainfog is sparse enough for any of them. I do have a bunch of Clive Cussler and Dale Brown, but I need to figure out which Dale Brown I read last and see if I have the next in the series (I dislike reading out of sequence).

Hrm... decisions.

My tummy is bothering me, too. I'm thinking I can handle Splenda in small amounts, but not daily. This is a new things. :/

success!

I swam eight lengths. I was up to twelve two months ago, but I've had the flu and lots of fibro problems since then, so I consider eight an incredible accomplishment. :)

We hit WalMart for a 50 gallon rubbermaid bin to store the tree in... And we looked at Better Living Furniture to see if they had a loft bed (no, only bunk/loft sets). We also stopped at Radio Shack to price AAA Ni-MH rechargeables ($20/4pk--I have a recharger already) and at Best Buy to see if they had the new Belkin Wireless Transmitter (goes across the standard FM band, rather than just in the 88.1-88.7 range). They had no iPod accessories other than a couple headphone splitters.

I'm not sure boy remembered to keep the Best Buy receipts for the transmitter. For some reason, he doesn't think about those things--I keep such receipts as long as possible for warranty reasons. I'm not completely happy with the wireless transmitter we have and think that a broader range or even a different brand might be preferable. If he didn't keep the receipt, I guess we'll be stuck with what we have. :/

Stopped at IY for soap and cheese, left with teabags and cheese. Need to see if Organic Soaps & Balms is still around--IY only had one bar left and it was a little one.

We're home. I need to eat again. I made chili earlier and added rice noodles. I'll add some cheese and top it with crushed tortilla chips and bake it for a bit.

If anyone with a car is free tomorrow and would like to go to Lowe's--let me know. I'm not sure I'll be able to drive or not. Depends on how I sleep tonight.

I took down the tree (which involves the de-ornamentation, de-garlanding, and defusing one would expect) and packed it away. I took down the wreath. I wrapped and zip-tied everything, packed the ornaments. I put the boxes in a nice, stumble-upon-trip-and-fall spot between our bedroom and the bathroom. I tossed some towels in the washer (I saddle soaped my good shoes today, my hands are soft and itchy--damn lanolin allergy).

Boy rested while I did this. We both watched 24. He just finished brushing the floor where the tree was. He will now dustbuster them. We'll move his keyboards in here where the trees were, move my dollhouse where his keyboards currently are, and move the CD racks where the dollhouse is. Then we can use the cabinet where the CDs are for something else.

Still need to buy that damn Trömso loft bed from Ikea. Need to see if the spring is in two parts. if so, i *might* be able to get it in the car. If not... *sigh* I should check and see if minivans from the local cheap car rental place are still 30bucks with unlimited mileage. If so... that's the way we'll go--gas would still be less than 10 bucks.
