Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] quix for providing this little article on how cartoons are like cocaine.
I dont think it would be terribly self-centered of me (okay, it would) to insist that my favorite webcomic authors step up the schedule a little. I'm sick, okay? Stimulating that part of my brain could alleviate some of the pain I'm in. Yes, the laughter will hurt like hell--it already does from just reading two this morning. (I lie, I was in pain BEFORE I read those, but now it's worse)...

Anyhow, yes. I think I need more comics. I need them.

um, thanks, i think... to [livejournal.com profile] playright for sharing this with us.

amusing holiday animation... the humor is mostly visual. and after shaking the snowglobe, just let it do its thing for awhile...

i should see if boy wants to go make a snowman.
i love snow.

i really do.

i love to play in it.

I love to take pictures of it.

I even like to shovel a little (until I get worn out).

What I do not like is being so sick that I can't walk to the bathroom without getting out of breath and all heartbeat-y.

I do not like being in a state where it's obvious I cannot go outside and play in the snow.

i'm just too sick to actually link them properly and tell a story. I thought I'd get better. I'm just getting worse. I'm sorry. You can tell I uploaded them ages ago, but what with the holiday, slow connections, and getting sick, I just couldn't get to them.

Silent Muse show pics.

If folks like, feel free to caption individual pics in the comments.

I played around with various photoshop effects to keep the boys from looking totally red, but left one or two so you can see why i played so much.

The soundcheck pictures are in the same directory, in case some look familiar.

visual quiz, though the music is amusing

man milk or moo milk?
my boy is so good for me. he persistently called the doctor for me today. when he finally told me what the doctor had said (clean xrays, thank goth) and what he was prescribing (uh, not so good), he called the doctor back and played messenger boy, since even talking is leaving me out of breath and heart-poundy. to be honest, typing is doing that, but i need SOME sort of social interaction. i've gone nuts this week.

the doctor ended up calling in a pain drug i took years ago which stopped working (tolerance), but should now, hopefully work again, corticosteroids, and a flu med... now, i'm not keen on taking tamiflu, since it works for InfA or InfB and needs to be started within 40 hours of onset of symptoms (I've had pain for well over a week and a fluctuating fever of 100F for a few days now and I'm not sure I HAVE the flu)... but i think the doctor will be upset if i dont' take it. so i will. i thought about refusing the prescription, but... *sigh* if there's a chance it will work, i'll take it.

my neck is so incredibly tense from the stress of trying not to cry from the pain. crying hurts so much worse. and i have spine/neck pain from whatever this is ANYWAY. *sigh*

anyhow, back to boy. he picked up the prescriptions and handed me a pressie! a little glowy necklace of a green star! (i have a bat and a skull already). he's so sweet!

he took some stuff out to the shed, refilled the bird feeders, shovelled the walks (well, he's required to do that, but he did it by himself... he's made me lots of cider today (and bought more earlier)... in fact, when i set the kettle to boiling, he took it upon himself to pour and stir the cider and bring it to me without even waiting for me to do it. he's done ALL the dishes this week. he's taken such good care for me.

he's making dinner now. pizza bread. :)
