okay... my asthma/rad has been acting up more than usual lately, so i decided to go to the club. yes, this makes *so* much sense.

i had a blast, though, and got to see lots of people and even meet some new ones.

time for shower and bed. as soon as the rinse cycle is done filling, i'll hit the shower. (yes, the laundry is done first when i walk in the door--i strip off as I walk to the laundry room, toss smoky clothing in/hang up anything not-washable, then start the machine...

the dogs next door are barking.

as soon as i killed one mosquito, another showed up. bleagh.

today is day for resting, though i'd very much like to go for a walk. we'll see. i might be able to manage it.

i wish my membership at the gym started *today*, rather than tomorrow. i could use that hot tub.

maybe boy will be a dear and scrub the tub (it's not that bad, but my neck is screaming in pain) for me so i can take a hot epsom salt bath.

Tim--are you driving down on Thursday? What are you up for while you're here? Hiking, Woolen Mills photo shoot, Cville/UVA architecture gazing? Do you have a preferred flavor of gatorade? What does your lady friend like for breakfast? Does she have any dietary restrictions, likes/dislikes? Do you want to sleep in the same room? How long are you staying? If you've told my husband all this, why hasn't he related it? Will you eat borscht if I have a big pot for quick meals (in addition to whatever else we find/fix/buy)? Any requests?

Busy upcoming month...

twilight_spirit is visiting this coming weekend.

Some other LJ folks will be visiting town later this month.

Atomic Box is playing this coming Saturday. Tristan the next, then we have a halloween fest on the 1 of november. On the ninth, Turn Pale returns to Cville. All of thse are shows I definitely want to see.

And on 15 November, Silent Muse will have their next show. This will be boy's first live show with nothingoth and solieri. Woohoo! It's BONGO TIME!

I love fried cabbage. Some people hate the smell of cabbage cooking... I don't. I love cabbage in just about any form.

I'm tired tonight. I already spaced out and burnt some butter I was melting. So I put a couple handfuls of cole slaw mix (cabbage and carrots) in a skillet with some melted butter and turned the heat down low. I set the timer and stirred/tossed during commercials (watching Tarzan on the WB). Added salt and pepper... mmmm.

I will not, however, be making pirozhki dough tonight. I'm too foggy for that.
