(no subject)

So... Tom and I are going to go flee civilization. We're leaving as soon as (a) we get dressed and (b) we pack some provisions. We'll be back in time for band practice, whenever that is. I'm *assuming* Chad works til 6, so I'm planning on being back in town no later than 7pm. We won't have cell phone access in the boonies, so don't count on contacting us that way. ;)

(Yes, I'll call nothingoth or solieri before we leave, just to doublecheck.)

I think maybe one of the waterfalls on St Mary's River will be today's destination, but we might head south instead.

Okay... eyedrops, clothing, contact lenses...

Last night's nine hours (with one awakening around 8am for bathroom time) was just what I needed. No dogs, either...

i'm so thankful solieri is giving boy a ride home. i'm quite tired and didn't want to leave at all. in fact, i'm not sure i *can* safely drive now.

anyhow, getting ready to go shower off the day's mud and pollen. I'm also going to be listening to the lovely xiane's show subshock on WNRN.

Yesterday, we went to the Blue Ridge Parkway. We "hiked" the Catoctin Loop Trail (very short trail which goes through a wooded area to an overlook above the Shenandoah Valley) and visited 20 Minute Cliffs.

Anyhow, we were dressed highly inappropriately for hiking, but perfectly for light walking and laughter.
