i'm so thankful solieri is giving boy a ride home. i'm quite tired and didn't want to leave at all. in fact, i'm not sure i *can* safely drive now.

anyhow, getting ready to go shower off the day's mud and pollen. I'm also going to be listening to the lovely xiane's show subshock on WNRN.

Those of you who'd like to listen should tune in online. After SubShock, audiorapture will host his show, Download. We have the coolest radio station around.

And holy shit, Israel attacked Syria? What? Do they need *another* Yom Kippur War?

We'd like to listen to it but something Marn read on the page (or off of the page) you linked to says you need Windows MediaPlayer.
I could be entirely wrong, but don't you have a Mac? How do you listen to it?

I turn on the radio. ;) It's a local station, so I don't use tune in online.

It does appear to use Windows Media Player. There is a Media Player for the various Mac operating systems. I need to tell Ali the site is still screwed up on my end. Of course, there's not much she can do about out-of-date browser standards and the lack of browsers being developed for pre-OSX

I'll pass on concerns about streaming/WMPlayer to Ali, if she doesn't read this first. I think we used to use RA or something else [RealPlayer sucks though. I hate it.] and we had issues with it. I could be mis-remembering that detail, though.

we did used to have RP for awhile, but that was long ago...

audiorapture is really the King God of Streaming.
However, my understanding is this: all of our server stuff is donated. MediaPlayer & subsequent support is donated to us, but our host is not willing to donate any form of support for RealPlayer.

Since beggars can't be choosers, we suck it up and limit ourselves to MediaPlayer. :-(
