I don't mind putting bugs outside... heck, i've put huge house centipedes outside with nary a cringe.

but camel crickets.

ugh. these things are huge. and the ones we have aren't nearly as big as the ones in DC, but... they're so LEGGY and MEATY... they're almost spider like, with far greater jumping capabilities. and they seem to like to taste the carpet.

i haven't managed to catch one of the three different ones we have in the house *yet*.

and i'm the one who has to do it, since they scare the living daylights out of boy.

It was a good day for the mountains. The wind was cool, the temperature was wonderful in the shade (probably around 74F), and it wasn't humid. It will be even nicer in the fall.

I'm going to go out and say goodnight to Mars and Saturn. Then I'll go to bed.

the dress

i cut out the pattern pieces last night. when boy is done working, i'll ask him to help me swiffer the floor. then he'll bring in the ironing board so i can iron the pieces. i'll start cutting sometime tonight. i might even start constructing bits.
