doctor told me to call back if i didn't feel better today. i'm feeling a bit worse, overall. bleagh. the office is closed until 1:30, though. i'll call back in 20 minutes or so.

we have no stove in the kitchen. there's a note on the fridge:
GYM. problem with stove. tell you later.

I'm curious...

and frustrated. I wanted to make some tomato-olive sauce. blah.

i *do* have an electric skillet *somewhere*. it's tiny. i was going to sell it at the garage sale, since i've never used it. if we're not going to have a stove, i might want to pull it out.

so... here's the scoop, poop, why we have no stove for our soup:

it arrived damaged. big ol' scratch and the door would not close. they offered to sell it to our landlord at a reduced rate, but the *door* would not *close*. uh, no thanks.

then they said they might not be able to deliver a new one before Friday. they still took the old one away. HELLO, we have no STOVE. my landlord is *certainly* paying enough for one to arrive when he was told it would arrive. Home Despot dot Com is never going to get any of my business if I don't have a stove BEFORE Friday. I can't even make that pasta sauce because I have nowhere to boil my pasta.

I told Tom that the delivery company better be willing to pay for a week's worth of pizza, because I refuse to starve.

*grumble*

I might be less grumpy if I didn't have worsening earaches, a sore throat, and a nasty cough with green goo draining out of my head, but I doubt it.

called the doc. he asked me about ceftin and keflex, since i can't take erythromycin (it's grown on soy) or amoxicillin (bad stomach news).

i told him i was pretty sure ceftin and keflex were okay, so he said he'd call one in. and i can take naproxen for the ear pain, though it might upset my tummy b/c of the prednisone. i'm on nexium, so i'm not too worried about that.

after hanging up--i remembered. something with an ef in it made me really really sick right before my body blew up last year. yes. ceftin. doc gave it to me for pharyngitis. i threw up and broke out in hives and was miserable for a day after the first dose. upon checking the ingredients--hydrogenated vegetable oil, which is typically soybean oil... it also contains several preservatives i'm rather allergic to.

so i called the doctor back in a panic. his receptionist told me she'd make sure he didn't call in ceftin. *phew*

i've had a popsicle and some water and some meds today. i need to eat some food so that i can take the prednisone. i'm really tired.

i guess i can heat up some soup in the microwave. i still have half a pot of potato-kale soup. it's yummy, but i want something tomatoey. *sigh*
