woke up at 12:30, though it was 2:45 for some reason, so i got up... wandered out to the front room and stole boy's computer while he ate lunch... gave the computer back, went outside to transplant some sweet pea vines and morning glory. then i hauled out the reel mower and mowed the back fence (3', so i can put up the arches), the front yard, and the sidewalk strip. i mowed half of the neighbor's strip, too, since she works in NoVA. She told me today (spring break, she's a principal) that I can come steal some of her lilacs. YAY!
After the mowing, I assembled one 8' garden arch. it's windy and rain is due, so i'll put it up when the soil is wet. it'll be easier that way. i refilled the bird feeders and watered plants, too.

xiane and mbickers, i have a few extra moonflower seeds, want? and if all the seeds i'm soaking germinate, i'll be willing to toss some of those your way, too.
talked to the neighbors on both sides today. :) that was nice. i nibbled on some mint in the front yard, too. mmm, spearmint. i like the real thing, but not fake flavoring.
found peonies and phlox hiding in the backyard, along with many interesting looking plants that will probably reveal their true natures later this year.
and i've showered. yay. boy's doing some dishes, since i'm now all tired. i might want to walk after dinner, though. i'm glad i made baked beans and black bean chili earlier this week... leftovers are good.
tom is oohing and aahing over a spider mite, one that looks rather pregnant. he thinks it's cute. i'm thinking, "so THAT is why some of those plants in that tray are looking less than spectacular". and he just said his mother had sex with bay leaves. he meant success. with repelling ants. but he said sex. with bay leaves. o_O
