So...
I was going to go into town today to settle the utilities before our lease starts on Saturday.
It started snowing yesterday, so I stayed home. It's snowing today. Heavily. Boy tells me we're supposed to get six inches. I doubt the roads have been salted yet, despite the fact that it started snowing 24 hours ago (it didn't snow constantly, we only have a couple inches or so).
Getting into town would take half an hour if VA20 has been salted. If it hasn't, that trip would take an hour. And since there's a winter storm warning and we live south of the Mason-Dixon, I'd imagine most of the city employees in the City Office Building have fled before the 5pm closing time. I know they have email forms for submitting this stuff, but since I've *never* done it before, I prefer to go in person to take care of it.
Hopefully the roads will be clear tomorrow. *sigh*
