hrm. i'm very tempted to replace the power port in my mac powerbook myself. the computer is a 99 g3 powerbook. other than having five zillion tiny tiny screws, is there any reason i shouldn't do this myself? i'm feeling confident, but i've never worked on a laptop. i've worked plenty of desktop PCs (never macs, as i've never had a desktop mac), but laptops are different.
