dear life,
giving me sores on my tongue is freakin' mean. little inflamed taste buds, a blister here and there... but do you REALLY have to make my break out in tiny little hives on my arms and legs? really? i mean, haven't i got enough on my plate? spread it around a little, please. i don't want to seem like i'm hoarding such luck.
so, the doctor thinks my immune system is "in high gear", which is why i'm breaking out in rashes, hives, skin sores, tongue ulcers, photoallergic rash, etc. she's afraid to give me anything, which i can understand.

the incision looks remarkably normal today. for five days it was irritated, hot, inflamed, and red... today--plain old normal healing incision.

*sigh*

the doctor gave me copies of some of my doctor reports from the specialists. sweet of her. nice to see they don't think i'm nuts, too. ;)

i hope this all clears up by may. i know i'll still be sore in may, but i'd like to have a decent summer. i'm rather irritated that my health seems to be conspiring against me. if i weren't slated for surgery, i'd apply for a seasonal job at a state park or rec area down in virginia. cashier jobs are sedate and i have experience working camp control, boat rental, front desks, etc. by now, a lot of places will already be done taking applications, but there's always a chance, so i was going to put in an app, anyway. i don't feel comfortable risking it now.
