Dec. 26th, 2001

i spent most of the day watching the history channel. yum.

we all went out to lunch... it was a buffet, but there were a few safe items on it. i really hate going out to eat all the time, but with an octogenarian grandma who doesn't want to risk cooking for me (she doesn't quite "get" that i can fend for myself FAR more easily IN the house) makes it inevitable.

last night was lovely--italian place. it was mostly safe (my dish, at least, but not the bread or dressing).

i've been spending lots of time with boy. this makes me happy. :) i miss seeing him 24/7... it's been kinda keen to be with him all day and night.

i've met his aunt and cousin (and the significant others of both individuals) thus far. tomorrow i get to meet boy's godparents. that should be cool. on thursday, we're bidding grandma adieu and heading for sebring. my parents will meet us there. i have some more relatives wintering there, so i'll get to introduce boy to some of *my* far-flung relatives.

i've been spending most of my time reading (when not chatting) or doing cross-stitch. almost done with FotR and mostly completed the cross-stitch pattern... i started this over a year ago, but have often set it aside when the hand/wrist/neck/shoulder/back pain got to be a little too much. one of these days, i'll be able to stitch all i want... and i'll end up putting an eye out with my enthusiasm. ;)

my belly is all tender and unhappy. i'm not sure what's up with it. probably too much dairy, not enough greens. i had some greens for lunch today... ugh. been aching the rest of the day. poor belly. all tender and mushy-hard.

time for bed. must remove towel, comb hair, and braid it. sleeep will be welcome.
