EVERY year, the perseids mock me.

gorgeous weather leading up to the peak. then, the night of... partly cloudy to mostly cloudy. never completely cloudy. i could accept that... but partly cloudy doesn't deter me from going out and feeling disappointed.

grrrr.

now i live where i can see them, so i didn't have to drive an hour or two out of DC to spot a few through the clouds. at least i have that one saving grace. if it clears up towards morning, i'll go out.

its partly cloudy here too, plus the bigger problem - we live inside chapel hill's nightly pink glow *pout*

but there's a beautiful orange sliver of a moon just above the trees.

did you get to see the leonids? we've seen nothing of the perseids this year, and i'm thinking of planning to head to my family's farm for them next year...
