nifty rainbow stuff.
earlier, i found M31 and investigated various nifties in cygnus and lyra. i suppose i could provide links if anyone is really intrigued with the geekiness abounding right now. i think i saw a few anti-helion meteors, though it's hard to be sure... it's hard to precisely identify the gegenschein this time of year... the milky way's so bright and nearly in the way. it's sometimes hard to tell whether i'm looking at the gegenschein or part of the milky way.
just watched the Cosmos 2369 rocket body (satellite) soar through cygnus, pegasus, and down through aquarius.
saw some perseids and possibly a delta aquarid or alpha capricornid or two. thought about staying for some more perseids and the debris of cosmos 1985, but something snorted close by and i sprinted for the door.
it was probably just a cow, but it spooked me.
ah, well, i should go to bed. my chest is feeling a bit better. i think the cool night air helped, despite all the damn grass pollen. my eyes are burning, but i can breathe without pain in my chest, so i'll take it. if not for the pollen, i'd open the bedroom windows tonight.
i can't believe i actually sprinted. that was dumb. if there had been a predator out there, i'd be toast. then again, i was able to gauge that it was at *least* at the fenceline and i was much closer to the house than the fenceline. and i knew i just needed to get to the motion sensor for the floodlights. yeah. that's it.
stargazing is dangerous. ;)
