at some point last night or this morning, i managed to stretch some more scar tissue. *sigh*

despite the upper chest pain, i managed to weedwhack the front walkway, flowerbeds, and the old footprint along the southern side of the house.

i pulled lots of crabgrass out of the flowerbeds, refilled the birdbath, and laughed at the skink with tom.

i wandered the perimeter of the field, checking on the persimmon tree (fruit is starting to blush), the berry vines (dry dry dry), and various other interesting things. found more nightshade, noticed the juniper is putting out berries, discovered a sour cherry tree, and giggled at all the grasshoppers springing away from my feet.

i found several depressions in the field that i don't remember. they have small plants growing in them... i hope they aren't pre-sinkholes. they're probably just old tree stump craters i somehow missed before.

i think i've earned my rest now.

then i rested a bit, hopped in the shower, and am now enjoying being clean.
