Went shopping at 3. The roads were already insane (with drivers, not precipitation). Snow started falling while I was shopping, by the time I was done, my car had a substantial amount of snow sitting on it. If I'd been out in the lot, it would have had an inch already (I was parked at the curb).
Ronan fell asleep in his stroller. I hit his head putting him in his carseat. :/ He screamed until I pulled over at a coffee shop, where I had a much deserved latte while he nursed. Said goodnight and good weekend to the baristas and headed back out in the snow so that we could head home.
I turned off of Roosevelt Brown onto Grove . . . and that's exactly the moment the roads chose to turn icy. Rather than drive narrow roads with steep hills and no traction, I cut back over to Cherry, which was also slick. Oy. Parked and came inside, where we shall remain. I haven't heard a salt truck and with the forecast (6-10" tonight, 6-10" additional tomorrow), I don't think we'll be driving anywhere. Two to four inches is a snowstorm for this region. ;) So this will pretty much totally shut the town down until it melts.
