I just heard Whiskey snapping his jaws. Looked up to see him catch a fly.

GOOD DOG!

We had a dobe who caught flies when I was young. I think it grossed mom out, but it was an awesome trait to have in a dog back in those pre-AC days.

Pepe catches flies and other things (I hate when he tries to snatch bees because I'd hate for him to get stung in the mouth).

Trooper is more of the "Oh. look a fly. that's nice. Zzzzz" type of guy. He's sleeping on the bathroom floor at the moment. He's not acting right. We went to the this AM and were told to try Rimadyl and Prilosec. I started him on Cosequin DS as well. Need to take him for x-rays of his shoulder and they have to knock him out and will clean his teeth at that point (he has a discolored tooth that will get pulled but isn't bothering him). They aren't in a hurry to do it if the rimadyl helps. So probably next month if the rimadyl doesn't help we'll do it sooner.
