My kingdom for a pair of jeans
Feb. 2nd, 2009 07:36 pmDear Levi's,
My needs are simple. I love the 545 low bootcut jean. Can't you make it in black? Maybe even overdyed black with black stitching? Come on, is that too much to ask? It's probably one of your most versatile styles. Give it to me in black. And in short. It drives me nuts that you only produce the 10 short 545 bootcut in sky. Please. Black.
Wistfully yours,
krasota
Dear FL:
Any luck dyeing jeans? What dye? It can't bleed off onto my legs, either, because I have a PPD sensitivity.

Date: 2009-02-03 01:35 am (UTC)I haven't tried the two-chemicals-making-a-reaction type of black dye yet -- I was going to do that this fall, but with other stuff going on, I decided to wait (the only places I can find that sell reasonable amounts have pretty expensive shipping, so I wasn't inclined to just get a small amount). I did do the black walnut dye this fall; do you know if you're allergic to that? (It's nice since it's a non-mordant dye, so you can throw stuff back in if it doesn't come out dark enough.)
