Trader Joe's sells coarse salt in a grinder. I've tried putting other things in the grinder, but they have to be sizeable or they just fall through. White peppercorns and fairly large grain celtic sea salt have had success.

I finally found the perfect thing: Just Tomatoes Just Roasted Garlic. It's slivers of dehydrated roasted garlic. No more sitting with the mortar and pestle to smash this stuff up. It grinds nicely from this grinder. WOOOO!

I just bought a jar of roasted garlic slices and have been so enjoying putting them into things to get that roasted garlic flavor without having to go through all the bother of roasting the garlic! Hee

I order it via co-op. WFM doesn't usually carry it. I buy a pound at a time and go through 2-3 pounds a year.

Local co-op? If we have one, I didn't know it, and I want to know! I miss my co-op from when I lived in Cleveland.

Nope. Online co-ops. I do hear a local group is forming. I should check into that, though.
