My brother flies to London tomorrow, a via point for his trip to Canterbury. I tried to convince him to ask his company to send me along as an interpreter. Hmph.

If they're ever sending someone to Canterbury in New Zealand (the province where I live), I'm sure they'll need an interpreter then ;-)

For example, "Yenah, nawurri zeymate. Wi lavva barbie thi sarvo. Kinyer bring thepav?" is local dialectal for "I find this proposition agreeable. We shall have a social occasion centred around barbecued food in the afternoon today. Could you please bring the traditional cream-and-fruit-topped meringue cake with you for dessert?"
