We're home.

Beach was great.

Ronan doesn't like car rides.

Really, Ronan doesn't like not having readily accessible boobjuice.

Finally, I have a use for having ginormous mammaries.
No seatbelt loosening required.
No, pics are not forthcoming.

Wow, the mental picture I have now....

And, hey, whatever it takes to keep small one happy :-)

YAY I'm glad that you're home! I missed your ramblings!

Carmen is the same way about the car. For long trips, I basically sit in the back with the pump and the bottle and pump, feed, pump, feed etc etc etc

Double negatives make my brain hurt. Triples make it explode.

Were those stray horses in the last pic?? We had stray cows around here once, but I live in a very rural area and near a nature preserve...

Assateague is known for its feral horses (http://www.nps.gov/asis/naturescience/horses.htm). So, yeah. Not so much stray as "we own this island and we will now impound your car".

The brown one came right up as I was trying to find my shoes in the trunk. I closed it and walked around the car, he followed me and would've nuzzled me had I stopped. Having grown up around horses that were bridled and trained and whatnot, I know that *nice* horses can have attitude and that I didn't want to mess with feral ones that have ulterior motives. ;)

The brown & white one tried to nuzzle [livejournal.com profile] explodingcat. I finally climbed over my car to retrieve my towels and we fled to the beach. We had no food on us, but the horses didn't buy it. I swear the brown one stared me down as though he was a poodle and I was hogging all the cheese.

Oh dear ghods, I remember doing that when we moved from Laurel to Cockeysville. We were in a big ol' moving truck, with eight-month-old Sammy in her backward facing carseat between us. It was December, so I had to struggle out of half the coat, pull up the shirt and work the boobage out of the bra, but dammit, the child was happy. And Jeff was giggling so hard I almost had him pull over.

Motherhood is weird. :)

Wow, I'd never heard of it before. That's neat! Thanks for the website, answered all my other questions. Although, I do now wonder if the foals that are sold off get bigger than the ones that remain...

*gasp* You've never read Misty of Chincoteague? It's like you missed out on childhood!

Well, now you know where to go to get Ronan a pony when he's older.

I love that the horses are master manipulators. They're like most of the waterfowl who wander through my backyard. If I wander out to water the plants while they're near, they look at me expectantly. None of them move closer, but that's because I make sure to stay inside when the geese are in the yard.

Never heard of that book before. I wasn't into those sorts of things as a kid. I probably wouldn't have enjoyed it; I was into sci-fi and horror stuff waaaaay back.
