So . . . what does make PregnantLady erupt?

Well, it's not a tree falling on the house.

It's not even freecyclers failing to show up to get the goddamn boxes crowding the front room.

She can even handle the dog rolling in mud after he'd been bathed.

But PregnantLady cannot handle opening the silverware drawer and finding mouse turds.

I need coffee. I can't deal with this.

Coffee and mousetraps.

At least it was just turds and not a mouse leaping out at you.

Sound like the icing on the cake, but ewwwww, poop icing? You need a new cookbook ;) I assume boi didn't joke about what nice mouse turds they were? After all, I'd hope his turd-affections were strictly limited to Jericho :)

Oh crap. :(

And I meant that non-literally.

I'm sorry about all this icky stuff happening right this very minute, with remarkable bad timing.

Oh yipes, not fun at all. What a hassle! You could put some natural mouse repellent in there, like a sachet of peppermint and spearmint oil. Supposedly they dislike it.

What is it with babies and mice? We had one a few weeks after Mouse (ha-bloody-ha!) was born. And yes, it was something I couldn't deal with. Ours was in the kitchen. I have an animal-food phobia (even my own cat isn't allowed in the kitchen... except when we've got mice, when she showed no interest at all in going in there, damn her!) and it was not good.

*hugs, coffee and empathy*

By the way, as I'm sure you already know, if you get humane mouse traps, release them a LONG way from home, otherwise they'll just come back. Jay took ours over towards his work area, which is a fair way off. It didn't return (in the time we were still in the house, anyway) and appeared to be pregnant, so thank gods it didn't!

Ah, hell. What a day. What an ugly day. :(

The joys of home ownership....

I've used humane mouse traps in the past, but they aren't actually humane. Mice are highly territorial. Any mouse released (far, far from home, several miles and buildings between) is likely to die before too long, either due to predation or fights with another mouse or exposure.

I got kill traps today. I hate killing things, but I'm crazy at the moment.

I bought the Tomcat version of that trap. I hope the dumb things run into them soon.

Wow, that really is a bad day! I'm sorry to hear it. Hopefully, there will be no catastrophes, inconveniences, annoyances, or gross things on Wednesday. ;-)

Yikes. I think I'd have to agree with you on that one.

We get tree rats and the occasional idiotic opossum who wanders in the door, and scarpers as soon as the dog gets wind of it (although I've had to fish one or two drowned ones out of the swimming pool). Both are a lot easier to deal with than mice.

*sympathy*
