A friend of mine is working in the Boston area and could really use a radio station which gives traffic every 8-10 minutes (DC has a great one--WTOP). Is there such a beast in your hallowed city?

I confess, it's me. The thing is, I drive all day seeing as I am a cellular drive tester. Cingular and Verizon stating they have the best network, Sprint claiming to have the most powerful network in Philly? My company does the research that the majors buy for marketing purposes. So, I don't have 'Net access.

If you are indeed on the road all the time, you might invest into something like Garmin GPS with the traffic info radio built-in. Very handy thing; anyhow Garmin is a life-saver for sure (I travel close to 100% myself and have a strong short-sightedness; arriving in a new town at night and off the plane, driving to the address is FUN).

On the other hand, perhaps your company should provide/reimburse for a navigation service (IMHO).

We have navigational laptops with DeLorme, but I don't think real time traffic is compatible with the XMap GIS editor software we have.

Traffic is a huge part of the News and reported at least every 15 minutes on KFI.

WBZ Newsradio 1030 AM

It gives the traffic on the 3s all day. It's a good station for quick news and traffic. :)
