Wintry mix

rootofnewtI fell asleep to the sound of sleet on the windows. Woke up to giant fluffy snowflakes. The ground is mostly clear and we've had intermittent rain and sleet. The temp is hovering above freezing.
The roads look clear, though, and it's the last day of the birdseed sale, so I think I'll go out and get some seed for my beloved songbirds. Besides, I use birdseed for traction on my front walk (icemelt goes outside the yard, but we have a short sidewalk inside the fence).
I think today will otherwise be dedicated to laundry folding and poodle adoring.
