We'll we've had a couple freezing nights, but we still haven't had a hard freeze. My lemon verbena must be well protected, because it's not dead. If someone local wants it, it's still up for grabs.

I'm spending today on yardwork, as I am able. Gathering cosmos seeds, turning compost, planting out some rootstock, gathering loads of branches. We also have to take recycling down to McIntire at some point.

We went to the market today and got lots of greens. Yum. We also saw the Morris dancers on the mall. YAY!

The front room is such a mess. I need a stor-pod for the basement so that I have someplace safe for the camping gear. I also need to find room for all my houseplants that spent the summer on the deck. I should probably take them outside and soap them well, dump out the acorns, and pull off any dead foliage. I brought them inside in a rush last night.

Right now, though, I'm nursing a cup of tea. My sinuses are killing me. I want the ragweed dead and gone, already.

Did I tell you that I well and good have a ragweed allergy, now? Stupid nose.

We had call for a hard freeze last night. I haven't gone out to look at the remnants of my basil, but that'll tell the tale for sure. I need to check on my lettuce seedlies, too. I kinda subscribe to the "nature knows what it's doing" school of garnening ;)
