My RDA of chocolate can never be met. I was able to buy my favorite brand of chocolate in Boulder. What's more, I found a variety I haven't had. After eating the first bar in one afternoon, we returned for more.

Crap. I don't know the name of the store. It's on the pedestrial mall, has at least three entrances and has TONS of kitchenware. The bags are plastic with blue/white stripes. Chocolate display is on the side with all the stinky candles, glassware, and linens. Michel Cluizel is the brand of chocolate. The store also carries Hachez--the dark varieties are soy-free. Try the strawberry & pepper.

I know that store, I believe it's called Peppercorn and is only a short walk from where I work. Thank you so much for the tip. I have heard that Michel Cluizel is safe but I haven't found it in stores, and I hadn't head of Hachez. Yay!

And I'm sorry we didn't see each other when you came through, but given the state of me, I would have felt guilty exposing you to my cold monstrosity even if I had been in town. I don't suppose you have plans to return, do you?

Let's see. . . it's technically only a two day drive.
I have friends there.
It wasn't perfectly clear up on Pike's Peak.
I found restaurants where I could eat.
I'll run out of chocolate sooner or later.


It's safe to say we'll return someday, though I know not when. Right now, family generally takes priority for trips that aren't pure vacation. My parents are full-time RVers, but my relatives mostly live in northern IN (12 hours away, plus some). Boy's parents live 6 hours away in NJ.

As for restaurants, since you'll wanna know. I had the hummus plate at Dushanbe, with extra veggies instead of flatbread. I didn't feel like grilling the cook about entrées, since they were busy, but I bet they'd have accomodated me. They had lots of rice stuff. We also ate at Illegal Pete's. I'd have felt better with extra hand-washing, but I had NO reactions. They cook with a canola-olive oil blend. I got veggie bowls. Ate there twice. The CHIPS ARE SAFE. (shocking, I know.) Yummy. And they have a jager tap, which was amazingly cool, even if it wasn't up and running during lunch. :D

Given that I can't take any meds right now and my allergies were horrendous, thank you for sparing me. :) I'd love to meet up next time!

Would rather have rich hippies than yuppie politicians. I've been in DC for over a year now, and cost of living there is quite high. But, more jobs I think. And now I have a house in Charlottesville, so probably not moving to Boulder any time soon. Going to try to visit though!

Charlottesville (where sajego has almost moved and I live) is sort of like mini-Boulder. Same architect designed the pedestrial malls, lots of rich hippies, liberal enclave in a red state, etc.

However, I think C'ville has more yoga studios per capita.

Hee, I didn't realize. I love Boulder, actually, maybe I'd enjoy visiting Charlottesville sometime.

That's not all! We have Tibetan monks, too! There's a Tibetan institute/center here and the University teaches a Tibetan Language Institute.

Boulder was a LOT like C'ville, on a larger scale. ;)

You'd probably like visiting. C'ville is amazingly nifty.
