Yesterday's goals were to clean the kitchen and bathroom, including the floors. We managed to make those goals *and* got grocery shopping done.

I set easy goals today: empty two camping bins. I've done that. We have two more to go. One of them has food that we don't have room for in the pantry. We'll eat it, it'll just take time. The other has camping kitchen gear, but I can't open it because the citronella bracelets I bought for boy are in there and citronella makes me really sick. I try to open it and nearly keel over. We've put away the camping bed for the dog and the mats we put on the tent floor. Next I'll probably open up the flight bag to air out the sleeping bags and fetch our pajamas.

I need to find room for everything. Our house is very small. The attic and basement aren't suitable for storage of anything that can be damaged by moisture. (Actually, the attic access is too small to put *anything* other than a body through.) We've never actually had a storage place for the tent and sleeping bags. I think maybe it's time for a real honest-to-goodness bed frame, one with some storage space beneath it. That still leaves us with a few things out in the open: the bin for the christmas tree, and the bin with all my fabric. I suppose I need to get to sewing to reduce the fabric stash.

I'll probably put the kitchen gear bin in the basement, along with a few silica gel sachets. That should keep the worst of the mildew at bay, especially if I keep the bin off the ground.

Once I know we'll have a few rain-free days, I'll find room to erect the tent. It needs to be sponged down and swept out. I should probably buy new clothesline--ours is shot (has been since we moved in). Once the first frost hits, I can air out the sleeping bags without fear of pollen contamination. Before then, I can wash the groundcloth tarp.

Oy. So much to do. I'm anxious to get the front room clean so that we can vaccuum and run the air purifiers full bore. I'm having nasty allergy issues inside and that's just not cool.

Hrm. There are some small things (lantern, white gas, propane) in the car which can go straight to the basement. That would be easy.
