when ranting at length, resting, hairbrushing, and most of my other relaxation methods fail, why not consider that damn whole little "opioid withdrawal" problem?

just a few more days.

i keep thinking that.

i'm scaling down too quickly, but...

just a few more days and i'll be free of them again. they were nice during the "ack, can't breathe, hurts so much i'll die" period, but now i sort of *need* to know where it hurts, to ascertain that i'm healing properly.

all the same, this agitation and the temperature/mood/pain fluctuations are about to drive me nuts.

and why am i yawning uncontrollably?

boy looked at me in horror the other day when i said "Oooooh! that's what they did to ME, only with a shorter incision!" when a thoracotomy was "performed" on tv. he turned green when he saw the rib spreader.

*shakes head*

damn rib spreader is the whole reason i had to take the damn drugs for so long. those rib-spreader suckers HURT and wreak much havoc with the pain tolerance.

Every time I see rib spreaders on TV (I love surgery shows) I think, "Argh, that's gonna hurt for awhile."
