Jun. 30th, 2003 03:19 pmMy in-laws gave us a kitchen-aid standing mixer (in black) for yaksmas. I've been remiss and haven't actually USED it yet. My MiL sent me a citrus juicer attachment, too.
Well, today I used it. I made lemonade with the lemons I bought at the Teeter last week (on sale). I just served boy a glass of iced lemonade, complete with sliced strawberries.
I think he loves me.

Date: 2003-06-30 01:21 pm (UTC)I've used it a couple times since then, and it does make a fun toy, and if I kept more juicable things around the house I bet it'd get a lot more use, but as is, I think it's going to be one of those things that stays on the top shelf... except when my mother comes over.

Date: 2003-06-30 01:29 pm (UTC)I love it, and don't use it nearly as often as I should...it's been ages. I need to get the citrus attachment--I killed a food processor doing that once.
I need to clean a space on my counter off and haul the ol' mixer out from its hidey spot in the cabinet.
And I would love you too, for a glass of fresh lemonade with strawberries. I am a lemonade fiend.
*hug*

Date: 2003-06-30 02:46 pm (UTC)That's one of the things I'll probably ask for when I'm old and moldy and married, as well. Although my mother would probably just tell me to come over and use her old, white one... or give me that one... *pouts*
See, I grew up in a home d'gadgets. Chris actually had to teach me how to whip cream by hand the other day; we'd always just used the kitchen-aid.
Oddly enough, I've always made lemonade by hand.
Well, or thrown it into the Vita-mix.
Vita-mix:blender as kitchen-aid:handblender.
I'M GONNA COME OVER AND MESS UP YOUR KITCHEN!
