grumpiness and stuff

The electrician will be here shortly after 8am.

And it's another night of intense pain.

*sigh*

I'm tempted to just stay awake, wash some dishes, etc... It's easier to *stay up* than it is to *wake up* on so little sleep.

Then again, I slept poorly last night, too. And it's my time of the month, so I need sleep more than anything.

*sigh*

Maybe dishes and a nice, long, HOT bath...

Gah.


I should sleep. I wish I could sleep as late as I normally do, but the electrician wants to do all the rewiring in one day. I'm in favor of the rewiring, as we'll have ALL modern, grounded outlets (the ground wire wasn't put in all the outlets 12 years ago). All the baseboard two-prongs will have grounded three prongs. The old two-prong kitchen outlets will be replaced. And he's going to put in an outlet on a separate circuit just for boy's work computer, which will be nice. He has to put a ground fault in, too. We're not required to have one, but if any electric work is done, it's required to be done (modernization of codes and what not). And he'll fix the outlets that have an open ground. The landlord is paying for all of this, of course. ;)

I sorted through my closet some more. Found more clothing that will go into the garage sale. It's mostly older things--sweaters, silk tshirts, etc. Some corpgoth blouses from the old job (my boobs don't fit anymore)... a few things I just don't wear.

Went flyering earlier. That was nice. I enjoy spending time with boy, M, and Chris. It was fun. mmmm, hot chocolate. We also went to wal-mart and wandered about in a stupor. That was creepy.

i have the new ikea catalog. mmmm, swedish furniture porn...

I like my batman pajama pants. and the operation ones. and the fairy ones. mmmm, pants.

corporate goth. ;) stuff goths wear when they have to go to mundane or conservative workplaces. In my case, this consists of black, deep purple, and silver button down, fitted blouses, often with decorative embroidery.

Hmmmmm, i don't think it makes me "closet goth" but they sound pretty.

Part of it is passing for "normal", but it's mostly just about dressing in a professional manner without completely hating one's daily wardrobe.

Folks definitely *noticed* that I wore fitted black blouses and full skirts with funky tights/leggings and odd, but sensible shoes, but the outfits weren't considered inappropriate.

Most of my wardrobe was silk, rayon, and velvet. All black or jewel tones, too.
